Morecambe is a delightful holiday resort well known for its beautiful scenic views, sea birds and sandy beaches. Westgate Caravan Park is ideally located for travelling in the local area. We are within 15 minutes walking distance of Morecambe promenade. A frequent bus service is available to Morecambe, Heysham and Lancaster with bus stops outside the gates of the Caravan Park.

This Grade 1 Listed Building occupies a city-centre hilltop location on the site of three successive Roman forts and has been described by English Heritage as "not only the North-West's most important historic and archaeological monument but also of international importance".

A church from the churchyard

Heysham Heritage Centre

The beautiful village of Heysham retains many of its stone-built cottages dating back to the 17th century. The church of St. Peter’s has a stunning location, overlooking Morecambe Bay, and nearby on the headland, can be found the ruins of St. Patrick’s Chapel dating from about the 8th century. The headland itself is managed by the National Trust and access is free.

Morecambe Promenade has seen extensive refurbishment over recent years, making it a clean, flat and accessible area perfect for a stroll along the seafront. The Stone Jetty is a welcoming public walkway incorporating artworks and games.
